Nail Art By Asami Inspired

Used Lippmann You Can Leave Your Hat On as base, frankened all other polishes used. Inspiration drawn from http://nailsbyasami.blogspot.com/. I think I made it a touch to crowded, next time I'll make less flowers and branches.

Lippmann You Can Leave Your Hat On

Found this at Trade Secret for $3.75, quite a deal because they're usually $15. It's the dream nude, took three coats but they were buttery and fast drying, if you don't mind VNL it wasn't streaky, you could live with only one or two coats. Formula is thinner than I'm used to so that took a bit of adjusting (that's why there's some pooling around the cuticles). The color is a nude with slight gold shimmer. My pictures are dead on PERFECT! I don't say that often but they really capture the polish beautifully.

Essie Midnight Cami WITH CG DOLLHOUSE!

I just slapped this on. I may matteify it later (tomorrowish).I saw a blog post where somebody wore this plain, that's not at all how I would even think to wear this, I like it best as a topcoat.

Problem Solved! Thank you lovely ladies!!!!!

Okay, here's the whole story....
Nailene sent me some products to review, I've NEVER used fakes before so I thought I'd start with a harmless french (Nailene So Real). It looked waaaaaay fake on it's own so I added some of the stickers they sent (Bedazzle Super Star), it was pretty so I sealed it with the top coat (Acrylic Strong Top Coat, I believe it's called), the stickers began lifting and peeling off and soon the mani was lumpy and icky looking. I soaked my nails in and acetone based remover (won't ever do that again) and the fakes just turned to jelly. Very very sticky, thick, bound-my-nails jelly. ICK. I buffed and soaked and finally they're off!!!!! I needed them off fast because I couldn't wear that no-so-hot mess outside where I was going to fundraise for my ski racing team. I'll let my nails heal for a little while before EVER trying that again! The products I used were good, the stickers thin, the nails a tad to short, and the top coat not-so-fast drying. I'd like to give these a nice review but right now my experience is a bit clouded.

MY PLEA FOR HELP

If anyone knows how to remove press-on fakes, TELL! I've soaked in acetone for 1 hour per hand and I can't leave the house with these. Pics coming soon.... Promise. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Illamasqua MUSE

So pretty! *dies* It's a smige darker than CG Shower Together, and less jelly-like, however, if you can't get your pretty paws on Muse than ST is a dupe (to the more untrained eye). Please note my pictures aren't perfectly color-accurate, they are a bit light and don't quite show the complexity of the color.
