I AM DONE WITH HIGH SCHOOL

YES, EVERYONE, I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER HIGH SCHOOL CLASS AGAIN. IN FACT, I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN MY HIGH SCHOOL AGAIN. IN FACT (AGAIN), I WILL BE MOVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY FROM MY HOMETOWN AND THUS WILL LIKELY NEVER SEE MOST OF MY PEERS AGAIN.

So, I'll be able to post more because it's summer but may be MIA again as my whole family packs up and sells our house and then moves 3,000 miles away.

NYC Preppy Pink is a blue-toned pink that is just so valley girl on the nail. Very nice for pedicures.

 NYC- Midtown Mimosa. Look! A yellow jelly! I want to do a sandwich with this but I'm not sure what glitter to use.

 Fuchsia Glamour is one of my new favorites. Look how clean and pretty and dainty and lovely and-
And it's so tame but I adore it.

Though that name makes about as much sense as that Pure Ice purple with "taxi" in the name.

First off, I think I'm really getting this blogging thing down. I have a pose, a watermark, and I really like my background on blogspot. Is there anything that I should change?

The first mani, an unnamed Color Club with ChG Doll House on top, is old and doesn't have my pose. Sorry!


Next was yesterday's mani, Zoya Adina. Beautiful color. Three coats.


Sinful Colors sent me some polish from their new Valentines Day collection to review! I received Scandal and Pink Forever.
Pink Forever is pretty straight forward, a medium cream pink. I can't think of dupes off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are some. Three coats because of balding, which was only due to my hurried swatching. Terrible picture because this would not cooperate for the camera! Silly polish, you're supposed to look just as good on the computer screen as you do on my nails!


Tomorrow's mani is Sinful Colors Scandal. This one SHOCKED me. I expected a bright-to-neon pink. Nothing special or unique. Boy was I wrong. It's a bright pink JELLY! A jelly finish from a drugstore! It's oh-so-gorgeous on. 5 coats to eliminate VNL.

Gradient of OPI Mad as a Hatter down Ulta Fresh Water Pearl. Pretty.

I couldn't work my computer and I've been swamped with school work. I tried out for the fall play at my school, wish me luck! The cast list gets posted tomorrow.

Why haven't I found this sooner?

SH Wet Cement, aka the most perfect grey that ever existed. Not too light, not too dark, not blue toned, no odd shimmer. It's love. At $3 this love is less expensive than RBL, which I'd have to sell my first born to haul from (again, I'm still recovering from last year). Two coats, and this has a perfect formula.


Also, we have SH Cosmic Blue (they were buy 2 get 1 free, and I wanted Wet Cement and a back up of Purple Pizzazz [their spelling, not mine]). A shimmer blue, not quite a frost, with both bar and round holographic glitter. Unique for sure. If the formula was a little more jelly-ish this would work better, but alas, the last coat covers up previous coat's glitter. Three coats, two left a little bit of balding.

I'm moody

OMG!!!!!!! I WON A GIVEAWAY!!!!!! I never win anything. But I won 4 mood polishes :) And a lava lamp from the library (random!). These are the Mood Struck ones from drugstores, I think. Anywho, I have a yellow/green, blue, teal, and pink/purple. So far I've tried two, the yellow/green and the blue. The effect on the blue was so subtle! It ruined the novelty of the polishes a little for me. BUT the yellow/green was epic. Really. Awesome. The yellow one wore horribly but the blue one had fantastic wear. Go figure. They all dry matte.

A game of catch-up

Finger Paints Decked With Dazzle is one of my favorite pinks ever, and it's not even a glitter or a neon :) That's quite high praise from me! This is a foil, it has small micro silver and gold glitter. This has SH Hidden Treasure over it, not noticeable so I felt guilty for wasting some of my precious bottle :(



And this, this is WnW Night Prowl, I wore it all day and was shocked to get NO compliments! I usually get 2-3 a day, when I have konad on that number jumps to 6-10, when it's a water marble EVERYONE notices. Yeah I'm a bit of an attention -forgive the language- whore, I like to be asked how in the world I did my nails! Well, forgive that rant, this is a jelly black with red-purple glitter. I wish there were more colors like this, I want a blue one and a pink one and a yellow one and a....

French Pink Comparison

Hello! I stole into my mother's drawer and found.... PINKS! And lots of them too. In preparation for V-Day I'm going to show you as many sheer pinks as I can find before the 14 PLUS *hopefully* creative french ideas. Here is (pinky to thumb) Wet and Wild Heavenly, NYC 215 Nail Glossies, NYC Love Letters, Sinful Colors Sheer Bikini, Revlon Sheer Blossom. My thoughts? Just alone (no french) Heavenly and Blossom were beautiful, Bikini was too opaque, Love Letters was barely there, and 215 was streaky.



Once you add just a white tip (no pink polish over it) Heavenly created a shimmering french, Love Letters a classic one, and Blossom a glittery one, Bikini at this point looked too opaque, and 215 was too light-toned.



Once the final step was applied, Heavenly looked overly stained :(, 215 looked like those fake nails you can buy from the Dollar Tree, Love Letters looked classic and pretty, Bikini was a mess, and Blossom looked a little stained. Over all, if you like natural-er looks, go with Love Letters, if you are a fan of a little extra something but still want to look natural, go Blossom, if you like a bit of shimmer, go Heavenly, if you just want a pink polish (no french, EVER) go Bikini, and never, ever, go 215. Tips were done with Nailene French Tip Pen. Some items used to make this manicure were sent to me for review. These products have been fairly tested with no bias on my part.

Violet? More like lilac!

Today (for now) I am wearing Cover Girl Violet Vision which I bought for 75 cents!!!! Super cheap, but slow drying. I'm considering taking this one off and putting something else on. The pictures are NOT color accurate, the color is much frosty-er and much less blue. Yes, that is Oliver peeking in the background :)

Is that GLITTER?

I'm swatching today (75+ untireds). So here we are, one pic on a bare nail, one on a NYC Pink Promenade Creme base. Glitters are, in order from pinky to thumb, NYC Starry Silver Glitter, Maybelline Clear Cut Diamond, Wet n' Wild Psycho, Wet n' Wild Sparked, China Glaze Doll House.
