Some sparkle

Sephora Galaxy was really, really pretty in the bottle. On the nail, less so. This is the kind of texture that just won't quit, not even after four coats of topcoat!
So, yeah. Not my cup of tea exactly, but alright for a day.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about. Lacquistry Amazeballs is a stunner. You can spot a bit of grow-out (eek) because this is day #3 on my nails, but look at how well it's worn!

Easy Galaxy Nails

Wet 'n' Wild Morbid coupled with this pretty flakie make for nails that could be otherworldly- no? Significantly less of a hassle than either galaxy nails method (see one here) and stunning in its own right.

I just really love this polish

Really, really love it. OPI I Lily Love You looks so fantastic over EVERYTHING. Shown here over Passion Fruit, another gorgeous polish. I've actually worn this combination twice in the past month.

A favorite combination

OPI Let Me Entertain You with OPI I Lily Love you on top.

And a picture my friend took of me, just for kicks and giggles.

So I've just spent the past hour watermarking....

Swatching is time consuming. Watermarking is too. Swatching is semi-necessary (unless y'all want less frequent posts). Watermarking seems entirely pointless until someone steals your pictures. I like swatching. I hate watermarking.

Okay, enough whining.

The point is that, because of the past hour's activities, I have enough pictures to put up here for a few weeks! Y'all ready?

Some recently swatched (and labeled) OPIs, because I find them on sale (Not Like the Movies and No Room for the Blues) frequently, or I just want them. So I keep acquiring more. Guy Meets Gal-Vaston (from the Texas collection) is two coats layered over two coats of Finger Paints Blank Canvas Cream to increase opacity. I did, however, lose the pretty squishy finish because of this layering.

Where have I been?

New York!
Sorry about that....

Why such a huge gap? Because this mani's been on my nails for 6 days! And not one chip, a record on me for sure! Seriously, I loved this. It's SH Lacey Lilac with SH Hidden Treasure and Inglot XL2 on top. So complex and shimmery :)

Flakies!

Previous mani (Forever 21 Turquoise) covered with Nfu-Oh 54. Just a little added dimension, not super noticeable but stunning all the same :)

mermaid nails

Zoya Charla + Nfu Oh 54. These are HOT! The flakies are subtle and just enhance the micro-flakies already in Charla. I'm proud to say that this is my own creation, I for one have never seen this combo before. So pretty!

Orange

Or pink. Or coral. I'm not really sure what color SH Snappy Sorbet is, it changes with the light. It's a ____ (<- insert color there) with white/silver shimmer. This was horrible. I couldn't apply it, it was goopy but the pigmentation was horrible, the brush gave me problems for the first time (usually I can use the Insta-Dris well enough). It's close enough in color to OPI Hot and Spicy, for the money just buy the latter. In an effort to hide the smudging and balding and horribleness, I covered it with SH Hidden Treasure. There, much better.

A bunch of odds n' ends

Essie Hot Commodity. I love this, it's a jelly wine red with micro flakies (a term I just invented, similar to micro glitter but with variating size and shape with some iridescence, like a flakie) of silver and pink. To see the micro flakies, enlarge the last picture. Super pretty and I bought it for $4 at TJ Maxx.
The Hungry Asian (who has the best blog name ever, makes me laugh every time I go on there) is having an awesome giveaway. If I were you, I'd go enter! I'm still gathering stuffs for my giveaway.
What do you all think about the new layout? I thought that white would be simpler and more pleasing to the eye, plus it makes the colors of the polishes pop! I don't know if I love it, though, I may change it back.
What is up with you all and commenting? Two posts with NO comments, not one! Now, I read a lot of blogs daily and I don't comment on every entry but there are (supposedly) 208 of you, shouldn't at least one person have something to say?

A quick break from studying

I went to a mobile zoo with my friends, it was cool :) I felt bad for all the caged animals, though. I'm digging the pattern on the first snake, yellow and purple

Also, we ate donuts, like, a lot of donuts. There's a place by my school where you can buy a bucket of donuts for cheap. We bought 3 buckets for a math project, I'll let you decide if that was a good idea.

And, because this is a nail blog, here's Nfu Oh 54 and SH Hidden Treasure (on middle) layered over black. My cleanup was literally non-existent

A very Hidden Treasure

I'm sure you all have seen this polish, at least from me before. Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. This is shown over white (looks like opals!). This polish looks good over anything, it's my drugstore staple of the year.

I really like flakies

Can we pretend this less blue? Okay? Thanks. It's RBL Mismas with Nfu Oh 51 layered over with SH Hidden Treasure over that. Really pretty! 51's red shimmer is visible under all those flashing flakies. If you have the polishes, try it, you won't be disappointed.

A game of catch-up

Finger Paints Decked With Dazzle is one of my favorite pinks ever, and it's not even a glitter or a neon :) That's quite high praise from me! This is a foil, it has small micro silver and gold glitter. This has SH Hidden Treasure over it, not noticeable so I felt guilty for wasting some of my precious bottle :(

And this, this is WnW Night Prowl, I wore it all day and was shocked to get NO compliments! I usually get 2-3 a day, when I have konad on that number jumps to 6-10, when it's a water marble EVERYONE notices. Yeah I'm a bit of an attention -forgive the language- whore, I like to be asked how in the world I did my nails! Well, forgive that rant, this is a jelly black with red-purple glitter. I wish there were more colors like this, I want a blue one and a pink one and a yellow one and a....
