New Favorite Green

OPI Live and Let Die.

Gosh, I could write sonnets about the perfection of the light green micro-flakies in that teal base. Absolutely gorgeous. 

Sunny Days

China Glaze DV8 is a gorgeous teal holo that is everything I could ever ask from a summertime polish. An oldie, but such a  goodie.

Yum. Assorted Sinful Colors!

The picture on Island Coral looks weird, but that was all in an effort to get the darn color of the polish accurate. I think I succeeded.

Calypso is super gorgeous and I love it.

Sweet Tooth is a red-leaning light purple with a hint of shimmer and I love it for spring.

Overall, my pictures have weird lighting because all the colors were being difficult to photograph. Still, A+ for Sinful Colors, these polishes are great! 

Station Polishes!

I'm missing two of the six sent to me, Stirring Silver and an unnamed (or, at least, nameless due to label adhesive issues) red jelly with red glitter. I need to swatch these again as it appears that I saved them to the wrong folder and thus lost them. D'oh!

One & Only Orange is AWESOME. My favorite of the group. An almost neon jelly orange with an easy formula and a good shine when dry. This is already on my toes.

Lemon Pearl is a pretty pale yellow with silver shimmer. I like but don't love this. The formula rocks, though. I could see some darker toned gals rocking this color.

This one was impossible to photograph! Miss McTeal is a teal (duh) with a good dose of blue shimmer. Very murky/moody/pretty.

Power to the Purple is a purple, of course. It practically broke my camera, hence the blurry photo. Anyway, it's a red toned purple with gold and red shimmer. Easy application, if I remember correctly. 

I liked most all of these. Lemon Pearl didn't look super terrific on me, but I'm going to give it another shot when I'm a little tanner. Of the six, One & Only Orange is the most glaringly obvious necessity. Power to the Purple looks dupe-y for $OPI Hell to the No, which I'll compare soon enough. 

I did get these for review, but I stated my opinion on each polish honestly and without any bias.

Butter London

I bought these last Tuesday when Ulta was selling Butter Londons for buy one, get one free. I used my $3.50 off $10 purchase and so these totaled $10.50, or $5.25 a piece. For polishes that retail for $14, that's a steal! Love 'em both, too. Victoriana is the perfect moody teal and No More Waity, Katie is STUNNING. Elegant and modern and so darn pretty.

My Illamasqua polishes

which I've had for forever, but never took great pictures of. I hauled both Muse and Rampage at the same time, actually, and that time was over a year ago. Haven't worn them since, which is a travesty as they are obviously gorgeous.

POLISH!

What I've been up to. Aside from seeing two plays today, three more tomorrow, and another the day after that before I myself preform. Um. Yeah. Theatre is eating my life away. Free time, what free time? I haven't seen more than 6 hours of sleep a night since... um... September?
Now, because I obviously am half-hallucinating.

Mode Glitterati. 4 runny coats. I'd love to compare this to SH Purple Pizzazz. And I will, after I take a nap.

Checking in

Hey! Okay, significant things are happening. Firstly, JCS goes on in less than two weeks, eek! I can't believe it, it's so surreal. I didn't even think I was going to get in, so to be singing a solo in such a short amount of time? And to be dancing the whole show center stage? Yeah, stressful! The good news is, I have so many friends who support me, it's been such a [stressful] pleasure to be a part of this production. Next, you can probably see the new layout, thoughts? Lastly, I've finally gotten around to posting on CC, which, for those of you who don't know, is my other blog. I'd really appreciate it if you could check it out, maybe follow. I don't have too many posts or readers right now, but I hope to keep updating it. I thought that it's kinda cool that you can see these different sides of me :). So, I guess I'll leave you all with some spam, a reward for reading this long-winded message :).

This is the beautiful Commander in Chic. I wasn't too impressed, but other people loved it! They couldn't pin it down, is it brown? Grey? with a bit of purple? Anyway, it's kinda cool looking, but totally not my color.

SH Mint Sprint, a nice color, a bit dark. Konaded with a whole lot of white flowers and silver butterflies :)

Pink Feathers

I always think of this design like a feather, I have no clue why :) This is RBL Smitten (FAVORITE pink EVER) with AA Peacock, which is fantastic for konading. This is, of course, plate m 78.



Now, for a quick konad story, entitled 'Why you should always order from OC Nailart'.

During all my parties and sleepovers I always konad my friends nails. I got my best friend hooked and she went out and bought her own set of plates. Earlier this year her friend fell seriously ill and was taken to the hospital for a couple of weeks. Twice or week or so, Shanna would go in to visit her friend and paint her nails. A little while into the extended hospital visit, Shanna ordered her friend some plates. In the notes section of the order form she wrote her friends story. When the box of goodies came, it had TONS of extras in it for her friend. I just think that that was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture on Kathleen's part. Both Shanna and her friend really appreciated it :)

American Apparel Peacock

So pretty, it's this perfect creme teal, opaque in only two coats. Staining is a bit of a fear (for me) with this one though. Now, is it just me or does this totally look dupe-able? I feel like I've seen (or own) a color EXACTLY like this. What do you all think? Am I right? Are there any other AA polishes I simply MUST try? I have an AA right by my school, and during my free period my friend and I walk down there to shop. Yes, we are allowed to leave campus providing we don't have a class (no skipping for me!).


PS: My new camera can take REALLY close, color accurate, non blurry shots. Look at how much better my pics look!!!!

Illamasqua MUSE

So pretty! *dies* It's a smige darker than CG Shower Together, and less jelly-like, however, if you can't get your pretty paws on Muse than ST is a dupe (to the more untrained eye). Please note my pictures aren't perfectly color-accurate, they are a bit light and don't quite show the complexity of the color.

Misa Toxic Seduction

Two coats. Wasn't sure in the bottle i'd like it, on the nail it is a smoky blue with green/teal shimmer. Not almost black by any measure. PRETTY!!!!!

FOTD

This is an eye that I did on my best friend. I used MAC Golden Olive, the gold shade from the Too Faced World Domination palette, and HIP Teal cream eyeliner. Topping that, I used CG Lashblast in Very Black. I would have perfered using a brown mascara, sadly, I don't have any.
