It's witchcraft, I swear

I Love Nail Polish (ILNP) had a sale and I... Well, I did some serious damage. 

I walked away (clicked away?) with Masquerade, Charmingly Purple, Birefringence, and Sirene (H).

Today I'm wearing Masquerade, and I knew from the moment I started applying it that I made the right choice in buying these polishes.

Wow.

Just look.

too many pictures of too pretty a polish

China Glaze Choo-Choo Choose You is magic. That's all there is to it, this polish is sorcery. 

Unfortunately, it chipped really fast on me (which is weird? usually I get decent wear out of China Glaze), so these pictures aren't quite as nice as I'd like them to be.

Please keep your pretty, polished fingers crossed for me! I submitted an essay for publication in an academic journal and I'm NERVOUS!

Shameful Cuticles (but lookit that polish)

I make it a rule to moisturize before taking pics. I suppose I got so excited by this polish (and the maybe-sorta sunshine) that I didn't. I am SO sorry, I almost didn't post this because those cuticles could not be uglier and the nails aren't great either (these pics are from a month ago, my nails are much longer now).

Anyway, I've worn Lippmann Sugar Daddy three times since receiving it, which puts it on par with Chanel Malice for repeated use. I just love how it almost is a neutral but is a bajillion times more interesting. LOVE IT.

I'm not even a huge duochrome addict (don't kill me!), but all the colors are so pretty.

A pretty (rare) polish

Found a bottle of OPI What's Dune? in an old nail salon. It's a duochrome holo polish from ages ago. Make my hands look red as lobsters, but it's mesmerizing in the sun.

Orly Space Cadet is pretty.
There's two reasons why I've been slow posting:
1) My computer doesn't like Photoshop anymore, which means I can't watermark and thus can't post.
2) School.
So, yeah, I'm really sorry. I'm going to try to fight through the aggravating slow-ness and get a half-dozen pictures watermarked.

I swatched my full collection of RBLs recently as "Rescue Beauty Lounge" seems to be the highest search that brings people to my blog! Yes, I just found the Stats page. Anywho, here's all my RBLs. I adore them all. Mismas is not pictured because she hates my camera.

Chanel Peridot

I could live in this color. Honestly. I could wear it every day and still adore it.
One of my favorite polishes. Ever. Worth every freaking penny.
And, yes, I have the other star of the collection, Graphite. It's sitting on my desk right now. I'll use it when I can actually bear to remove Peridot. So, it may be a while. (Though Graphite was the one I wanted for sure, and Peridot was the one I was on the fence about, originally).





Yes, there are brushstrokes. But, look! It's green, it's gold, it's blue, it's utter perfection.




Nobody does gorgeous like Chanel.

So I've just spent the past hour watermarking....

Swatching is time consuming. Watermarking is too. Swatching is semi-necessary (unless y'all want less frequent posts). Watermarking seems entirely pointless until someone steals your pictures. I like swatching. I hate watermarking.

Okay, enough whining.

The point is that, because of the past hour's activities, I have enough pictures to put up here for a few weeks! Y'all ready?

Some recently swatched (and labeled) OPIs, because I find them on sale (Not Like the Movies and No Room for the Blues) frequently, or I just want them. So I keep acquiring more. Guy Meets Gal-Vaston (from the Texas collection) is two coats layered over two coats of Finger Paints Blank Canvas Cream to increase opacity. I did, however, lose the pretty squishy finish because of this layering.

Zoya Ki. Three coats? Pretty, very duo-chrome-y.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

This is from Orly's winter collection, it's a green with a weak blue duochrome (only in the bottle) and micro-flakies (my term, flakies but really small). It's really, really pretty close up but just 'meh' from farther away. I really do think this has potential and I'll try it again when there's sun.

All the Burlesque Sparkles+

Three coats of all of these.

Rising Star. This is gorgeous gold foil-y polish with some subtle red sparkles in the sun. I love this so much, honestly, this collection has literally taken my breath away.

The Show Must Go On. Super pretty! It's been compared to MAC's new LE release Bad Fairy, but this is on the pinker side. I'll take better pictures one of these days, I did not get the duo-chrominess of this at all.


Let Me Entertain You. A deep pink polish with fine lighter pink shimmer/micro glitter (almost!).Love love love. Seriously, this polish is <3


Take The Stage. Orangey-er/ coppery-er foil. How cute would this be for Halloween?

Ali's Big Break. Hey, I'm Allya, close enough, right? Well, this is a jelly red with micro-flakies (my term for small, irregular glitter)that are a pink-red. So hot.
